Special Guests

Last Saturday, my in-laws went out as early as 9 a.m. for a shopping spree in KL. After fed my baby with avocado puree in plain yougurt for his breakfast, I put him to sleep first before joining my man who was in deep sleep (we slept quite late last night, we watched some DVD's). All three of us woke up later @ 11am thus, me and hubby have late breakfast...I made pancake with honey and french toast. Good enough for "alas perut" as we were thinking of going to ishamizu's open house + zahin's birthday bash later that day.

However, during noon Fadzil received a phone call. It was from Basid, our close friend from IIUM who is currently working in Sydney, accompanying dear wifey who is a PHD candidate there. They came back to Malaysia for Raya holiday. I was so thrilled when Fadzil told me they gonna drop by our house! As we didn't see them for so long (2 years I think), we have to cancel the trip to Melaka (sorry Izu, harap Izu paham ye..thanks!). Quickly I grabbed my hijab and we went to Taipan to buy some groceries for me to cook. While we were busy in the supermarket, Basid called and said he almost reached USJ11...aiyak!! Kata lepas lunch baru nak datang *gabra* We then put back all the things and headed to Kayu Nasi Kandar Restaurant to tapau mee goreng ayam...huhu. Sorry Azah & Basid. This was the best at that time since you guys gave us very short notice. Truthfully, ralat sungguh I didn't managed to cook proper meals for them. Dahla they went back to Malaysia after so long. kan..Next time do inform us early tau, insyaAllah I'll cook something special for both of you :) Itupun, they were already in front of our gate while we were on the way back from Taipan. My heart felt with excitement when I saw Azah. Rasa nak lompat keluar je from the car...hihi, rindu!!

He was "shy-shy cat" at first :)

But managed to smile a bit.. :)

Guess what was Basid looking at??

he was watching baby Faaz playing with his feeding set.
konon2 nak feed himself :P

It was the first time for Faaz to meet his parent's close friends and so were them. At first, Faaz was quite shy...but didn't object at all when Azah carried him. He just stared at her, and be quiet. After few minutes, he started to warm up...dah start senyum dah..suka lah tu aunty Azah layan dia :)
Khairul & Basid

Azah & Ija

Emir was having his "lunch" :)

Just nice after they finished their dessert (I served them moist chocolate cake I made the day before with ice-cream), Khairul, Ija & baby Emir came to our house. They were in Puchong, beraya when Basid called Khairul so they dropped by our house to meet the couple. Sort of small reunion, tp meriah. Faaz bertambah-tambahlah gumbira cause Uncle Khairul memang rajin layan (and sakat :P) Faaz. Azah get to meet baby Emir for the 1st time too..Lastly, before they left to Bangi, I insisted that we took a group photo...untuk kenang-kenangan :)

Uncle Krul yang rajin layan Faaz :)

Faaz was ready to play the balls with Daddy n the gang :P

Mommy Faaz dah tak sempat nak lilit2 tudung dah...
sarung je ape dapat when they came. Nasib ade Ariani, senang sket

Azah was practising..passed!
InsyaAllah, your turn next dear friend :)

all of us :)

To Azah & Basid,

Thanks for slot in some time to meet us despite the hectic scheduled you guys have. We really appreciated it. Happy and seronok...terubat sikit rindu. :) At first, I was thinking if until Saturday night you didn't give us a call...we'll go to KLIA je la to send you back to Aussie. Alhamdulillah, ade juga rezeki nak jumpa kan? :) Baby Faaz say thanks to Aunty Azah yang comel for the souvenir from Aussie. He loves it ;) To friends who doesn't get the chance to meet up with them, don't worry...they'll coming back to Malaysia end of this year for Hana's wedding. InsyaAllah boleh jumpa nanti :)

How he make friends

This is how my baby make friends with other babies :)

1st scenario:
With Baby Ammar, uncle to Faaz - 4 months old.
(semangat kan baby nie, almost Faaz's size dh dia :D)

I put him beside Ammar, was hoping to capture them both, but Faaz started to grab his sleeve..which bikin mommy cemas. hihi..

I asked him to let go of Ammar's sleeve but he refused. When I was about take his hand off...

la...nak sayang baby ammar rupanya dia.Awwwh, how shweet... :)

2nd scenario:
With Baby Iman, Faaz's 2nd cousin - 12 months old.
(she just celebrated her 1st birthday)

shake hand...but too low lah pulak. babies style kah? :P

At first, Faaz was playing with the disposable plate and some legos. When Iman came, she wanted the lego so Faaz happily played with the plate.

Suddenly Iman grabbed the plate from Faaz...but he didn't cried. Just look at Mommy with puzzled. hihi..cian dia :)
I gave him a mini car then, he happily played with it. Alhamdulillah, tak banyak kerenah my friends, don't worry to let my baby goes near yours. Faaz nie well behave...(eceh!) hihihi..

How We Spent Our Raya :)

Salam all,

Happy Eid Mubarak! I'm sure all of you have a wonderful Raya, kan? so do us, a double joy for us since it's the 1st time we celebrated it with our little angel...seronok yang amat! :)

This is how we spent the first week of Syawal 1430...

Eve of 1st Syawal 1430
(malam Raya)

Tropicana Golf & Country Resort
Darren wed Peggy

1st time we attended a wedding on Raya eve, and it was the 1st Chinese wedding for us to attend to. Couldn't say "No" to this wedding as Peggy is my mentor for WCDMA and both of them are in the same group as me in Ericsson (Access 2). Both of them look dashing and stunning that night. The most interesting part? the victory drink....yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamseng! :P

1st Syawal 1430

Subang Jaya-Damansara-Bukit Jelutong

Our 1st Raya photos...
sleepy baby Faaz doesn't keen to smile that morning. He's been awake since 6 a.m.

but, after a 2 hours nap...
those cheeky smile came again! :)

a photo taken with Nani & Nana, together with his cousins :)

OTW to meet Faaz's Daddima - Hafizah Pupu's house
(Fadzil's aunt from Papa side)

finally, at Bukit Jelutong - aunty Ilah's place (Fadzil's youngest aunt from Mama side)

2nd Syawal 1430
Subang Jaya

We stayed at home the whole day as it was our family turn to became the host for mama's siblings gathering. However, no photo were taken as I was so occupied with Faaz & and assisting Mama in the kitchen that day while En. Fadzil was busy mingling with his cousins...takpela, kasi chance :P

3rd Syawal 1430
Subang Jaya-Batu Pahat

Daddy Faaz, ready to start our journey to the South of Peninsular Malaysia

Faaz during our pit stop...on the way to BP, my mom's hometown :)

4th Syawal 1430
Batu Pahat

We didn't go out to visit the relatives. Instead, all of us (my grandmother, my family, my mom's siblings & families) stayed at home and do the preparation for the events next day. We were preparing for Tok Mak's Open house + Baby Ammar's Aqiqah Ceremony. As before, no photos were taken as we were so busy cleaning, decorating, preparing the goodie bags, etc..etc.

5th Syawal 1430

FYI, baby Ammar is my youngest cousin..automatically, he is Faaz's uncle. We call him uncle baby as he is younger 4 months than Faaz. hihi.

We came back to KL on Thursday evening. Alhamdulillah, it was a smooth journey although there were a lot of cars from Seremban to KL.

He is growing fast

Since he was 7++ months old, my baby has started changing his behavior a little bit. Out of sudden, he wanted to be pampered...more. He craved for attention, especially from me. If I was at home, he will cling to me, wanted to follow me everywhere I go even if I want to go to the loo. The only time he will be ok was when I wanted to perform my prayers. He will laid down quietly on the bed and played with his toys (of course under his Daddy's supervision from far). At first, I thought maybe he missed me, as I've been back home quite late nowadays due to heavy workload. It made me feel guilty :(

However, later I found out from Mama that he also acted almost similarly to her during daytime, when everybody else was not around. All he wanted was someone to be next to him when he played with his toys. If Mama gerak je sikit, mulalah nangis...hence, few
times all of us have to dine out for dinner as Mama didn't have the chance to cook at all. We tried any alternatives that we can think of...put him into the carrier, facing the back door so that he can see the cats - failed, he cried after 5mins...we turned the baby cot into a playpen full of his toys and put it next to the kitchen -failed as well, he tried to climb down instead...huhu.

One day, papa came home with a surprise gift for Faaz. It was a walker which can be turned into a rocker (you can fold the wheels and fasten the mat at the bottom of the walker so that it will only bounce whenever the baby make a movement inside the walker). Faaz was so happy but a bit blurred when we placed him inside it for the first time. Whenever he wanted to move to the front, he will accidentally reversed back which kinda annoyed him. Bising those cute lil mouth..hihi. However, after 3 days, he became a pro...laju je dia, followed us here and there from dining area to the kitchen , o(f course when no cooking activity taken place) and at the same time busy bee with his toys. Faaz can't access the hall due to split level, but he doesn't mind at all as mama will be in the kichen most of the time. Alhamdulillah, he no more demanded mama to be by his side. He will freely exploring here and there by himself and seek for mama when he needed to be close to her. Solved one problem. He still extra "manja" towards me tho..luckily during Ramadhan I can go home by 4pm, so sempatlah took him out a while, bathe him, feed him dinner and later put him to sleep. Oh ya, he loves to play with the small steering wheel on top of the walker..konon-konon he's driving his own car lah :P

Frankly speaking, at first I was skeptical of walker, especially after reading some articles regarding the safety issue of it. But my perception changed after a week. It was not that bad actually, thanks to the technology these days. Walker actually helps him to practice his walking skills besides helping him to be mobile independently. He can also now able to respond to directions. The most important thing for us is just to monitor Faaz closely, to ensure he is free from any hazard.

Owh, I managed to capture him in action with his walker, and a lil bit of baby-talking. Did I mentioned, "talking"? Yup peeps, my baby has started to talk, but most of the time, babbling :) So far besides "Mmmmyy" when calling for Mommy whenever he cries, the other word that he can speak of is "Aja" Urdu word which means "Lets go". Everytime he wanted us to bring him outside the house, he will saya "aja, aja.." hihi...comey ok! :)
Besides that, he babbles "tatatatatata" a lot! I love whenever he does that, sooo adorably cute! At home, we try to teach him as many languages as we can. So far, me and hubby teaches him Bahasa Melayu and English while his nana will teach him Urdu. I hope he can learn Arabic as well. This one, we have to ask Uncle Ju & Aunty Uja asistance to teach Faaz :)

Hmm, Faaz started to learn to walk, learn to talk now. Faaz is growing bigger and bigger everyday. Truthfully, Mommy Faaz is not ready to let go this beautiful phase yet! Faaz, maintain baby je boleh tak? (^___^) huhuhu...
