Farewell Dinner at Twenty. One Tables + Terrace, BSC

After the "Kids at Work" event in my office, I have attended my department's farewell dinner that evening held at Twenty. One Tables+Terrace, Bangsar Shopping Center (BSC).

My first appetizer, duck roll. :D

Twenty. One Tables + Terrace is a sophisticated restaurant consist of  bar + lounge on the inside and Terrace dining area on the outside, overlooking the suburban Bangsar. Of course we dine in at the Terrace :P

The thing I love about attending my department's lunch or dinner is the fact that we are free to order food that we want, as much as we want! No budget restriction. So, time ni orderlah sesuka-suki..hehehe :D

Since it's not easy to group up everyone in the team unless there's an event (since everyone is working on different projects, everywhere), we took this time to mingle around and share stories....hence, I forgot to snap all the foods that we ordered.

Here are some of the menu we had that night...

The virgin mojito..
a non-alcoholic drink for those who did not consume alcohol. It tasted like sprite with fresh mint essence...

Fried chicken dumpling

Steak and Chips

Chocolate Lava for dessert. Nyums!

See...told ya, we were busy chatting rather than eating. Heheh! :P

1/3rd of the NTO team that present that night.
Yang ala-ala Pit Bull tu my big boss Ari. Hihi

Me and our secretary, Nani were the only flowers among the thorns that night :)

There were 5 people from our team that left us to pursue their career path still in E/// but at different countries/ different departments and that includes my current boss for 1 month! Haha, 2013 is definitely a record as I have changed 3 bosses in a year! :D

Anyway, to Soon, Darren, Andri, Zul and Shek Hui, all the best in your future journey and keep in touch! :)

E/// Kids At Work Event 2013

Following the successful first event last year, (view it HERE), the company I am working with decided to make the "Kids at Work" event a yearly activity in E///.This year, it was held on the first week of December.

Since everyone been asking a lot about the twins and they are now 2 years and 4 months old, I decided to bring them along with Faaz for this year's event. To be honest, I was a bit nervous. Never had I travel in the car alone with all my children for a long journey (for a short trip to the 7E near our house pernah la :P). I was nervous too, thinking if I can't take care all of them in the office. FYI, although we have the event from 3pm to 6pm, I was still working and have to send a performance report to the customer by 5pm. The night before the event, I prayed hard that all my children will behave well in the office and in the car.

Alhamdulillah, Allah answered my prayer. All three of them were in a good mood when I came home and pick them up during the Friday lunch break. They even sang together along the journey...happy mommy! Legaaaa hihi :)

As soon as we arrived at my office, I brought all of them up to the 3rd floor where I resides. Kept their travel bag first and introduced them to my floor. As expected the twins were the center of attraction but as usual, my angels are not that friendly to 1st time strangers so they were a bit quiet and shy :P The funny thing wass, some of the managers in my floor were surprised to see me with my kids. They  thought I don't have a child yet. Thinking of it, I just realized that during both of my pregnancies I was away and located at the customer's office rather than being based at the office. That explain why... :D

After registering my children and got them a goodie bag each (thank you, E///!), I brought them to the popcorn booth as the twins wanted them. Pity Faaz, a clown was seated near to the booth so he refused to come near but did not wanted to stand away from me (more to pity me actually :P). Friends did offer to babysit Faaz but being someone reserved, he refused. Jadilah adegan tarik menarik mommy between the twins and Faaz >.<

Falisya was queuing for the popcorn. This booth serves cotton candy too, fyi.

After that, we proceed to the play area situated at the lobby of my office. Here, they have a huge inflatable play area and the kids went crazy jumping, climbing and crawling inside it. The three FN's seems to enjoyed themselves there while making friends with other colleagues' children...

In between, came the clown to distribute the balloons to the kids. Twinnies, who loves balloons instantly came and claimed their balloons while their big brother was hiding inside the play area, scared of the clown. Poor boy mommy cannot be by your side at that time because I was too worried to just let the girls went of themselves. They are just two years old, kot kena tolak orang ke kan...

After letting them played for half an hour, I decided to bring them to the other side of the lobby to have some refreshments, provided by the company. Big Apple Donuts, pastries and drinks were served for the children and the parents.

cute! :)

The main thing Faaz loves about my office is the coffee machine. To him, it serves the best warm MILO ever. Haha! So when we request for it, I brought all of them up to my floor, headed to pantry to make some milo and we have our snacks at the coffee area in my floor..

Faaz and his Milo drink. :)

Falisya, tired but happy.. :)
While Faiqa can't sit still. A little explorer in my office. Nak ambil gambar dia punya la susah! :P

Soon it was half an hour before 5pm and I have to be back at my place so that I can start preparing the performance report. Since the kids are quite reserved to strangers, they were behaving quite well at my place. Falisya loves drawing so to make her sit still, all I need to do is just to give her a piece of paper and a pen and she'll be sitting nicely doing her own thing. The same goes for Faaz. My only challenge was Faiqa who kept on asking for my phone. Can't let her browsing using my phone, habis data plan I so what I did was to split my laptop screen with the extra monitor, one for her to watch nursery rhyme via youtube (and I plugged in my earphone) and one for me to do my work! Settle! :P

The only drawback was...although we can't hear the songs played on youtube, we have to hear Faiqa's voice singing to the songs! Hahahaha!

My table "neighbors" a.k.a my colleagues can't help to laugh and smile when they heard she sang B.I.N.G.O or Old McDonald songs with all her heart. Siap actions ok! LOL!

And before we call it a day, I asked Faaz to pose for me like a boss, since I dressed him up with white shirt and tie (for fun). He asked me for the specs frame that we found in our room earlier, wore it posed like this...

Kembang, kempis hidung....

So this was Faaz's interpretation of a "BOSS"

LOL!

Pak Lawak mcm Daddy! :P

And The Secret to A Light, Crispy Waffle is...

to saperate the egg whites and beat it till it turned white (from crystal clear) and fluffy!

(In my case, I beat the egg whites with the sugar in another bowl before transferring it into the batter)

:)

Gebu! Hihi

Finally, after a year I've been making waffles for my family I learnt this "trick" to make a light and crispy waffles. Hihi, better late than never, right? :P It all started when I always failed to feed the waffles to my picky-eaters twins. FYI, twinnies only eat food that are crispy and not watery. Since my waffles used to be soft after a while being cooked and on top of that it became a bit soggy when being drizzled with some honey or maple syrup, twinnies refused to eat 'em.

With this method, the waffles I made will stay light and crispy even after sometime. And the best part is, twinnies now enjoy eating the waffles...yay!

My crispy waffles, fresh from the waffle maker!

Our recent breakfast, savoury waffles for a change :)

I thought I made everyone happy, I was wrong tho...My husband told me he prefers the usual waffles that I made instead. Guess I had no choice then, I have to make 2 sets of batter for our next waffle breakfast so that everyone can enjoy it! *cries*

p.s: For my waffle batter recipe, you can get it here :)

The Royal Bintang Resort & Spa, Seremban

We went to Seremban during the Deepavali weekend to attend my cousin's engagement. During that weekend, we stayed at the Royal Bintang Resort & Spa, Seremban.

*photo curtsey of google search*

It is situated opposite the State Mosque, at the Seremban Lake Garden. Such a beautiful greenish scenery, I was totally in love with it. The State Mosque of Negeri Sembilan reminded me much of my late Abah. During his bachelorhood, Abah painted a beautiful oil painting of the State Mosque which was framed by my late grandfather. It was hung at the main hall of his bungalow. Being a humble person he always was, Abah had never brag about it nor he ever spoken about the painting to us; his children. I really thought the painting was a photo instead because it look so real, subhanallah! I am a bit discontented tho, because the painting was lost when the  bungalow was sold after my grandfather passed away...I wanted to keep it. :( I guess it was not my Rezk..*sobs!*

Anyway, back to the story...

We were greeted by a nice Rangoli Kolam deco at the Main Lobby, indicating that Deepavali was just around the corner when we arrived for check-in. Lovely!

Nice color combination, don't you think so? :)

The kids with their Mak Ngah while waiting for the room keys.

We went up to the 9th floor as soon as we got our keys. Our room was spacious and nice and so was the bathroom. The kids loves it! Tak percaya, tengok ni...

Sampai-sampai je terjah katil.
Haip anak dara! Posing komain >.<

Dapat baring skejap..layan habis! Hahaha

Dah dapat energy pegi kacau Tok Mak.. :P

Let me showed you the views inside our room through these sets of photos..

The bedroom

The bathroom

Ironing set and Sajadah for prayer are also included in each room.
Tak perlu susah-susah nak mintak. I loike!

After freshen up and performed our prayers, we went to my aunt's house in Rasah Jaya to help her for the preparations. The tent was up, and the engagement dais was about to be built and the hantarans were all setup. We stayed there until dinner before we went back to the hotel.

Twinnies and Faaz posed in front of the dais as soon as it was completed and they all ate the lollies which was supposed to be part of the hantaran :P

As soon as we reached the hotel, the kids were bathed. The best thing about staying in a hotel with a tub is that you can bathe together all your children at one time, time saving! (provided that your children are ALL still small). Soon, I'll miss this session. Aaaaaa, kids. They grew up so fast!! :(

All three with different reactions.
:))

As usual, Falisya was the last to sleep.
This is her must activity in a hotel.
Paper and the pencil dia je yang conquer :P

The very next morning, we woke up quite early because we promised the kids to go swimming at the pool before we check up and attended the engagement ceremony. Before that, as usual we filled our stomach first with the buffet breakfast.

The complimentary buffet breakfast was served by Asiatique restaurant and it's among the best buffet breakfast served by hotels we stayed before (in Malaysia). There were variety of food served from English breakfast to our local delicacies such as Nasi Lemak, Roti Canai and Mee Sup. Nyums!

Some of the food we managed to snap.
The rest? Selamat masuk pewut. Hehehe

The view outside the hotel is more beautiful. There are the adult swimming pool with slides and waterfalls and a decent kid's pool. Surprisingly there weren't any people swimming that morning so happily all of us conquering the pools. Hihi. We spent 2 hours at the pool. Biar anak-anak puas :D It was considered as a short vacay too, since hubby just got the news at that time that he need to go for his annual business trip (and this time it's gonna be a long assignment *sob*)

The sun was shining bright that morning. Such a good weather for swimming activity!

The view from the kids pool

The three of them swimming..

While the daddy swim and the mommy guarding.
Beginilah nasib orang tak reti swim wpun siap ber-swimsuit.
 Kih kih :P

Happy Falisya watching Faaz and Faiqa splashing water to each other :)

Later Faaz was brought to the adult's pool for the swimming lesson with my hubby. But before that, he took this "penakut" boy to enjoy the slide and the waterfall. Bab waterfall paling lawak. The minute the water were poured onto his head Faaz screamed like mad. LOL!

Ok mommy jealous! Too bad nobody can babysit twinnies for me :(

BELUM kena dah meraung...that's Faaz Naqi :))

After the swimming lesson. Happy!

Hello love! Hiks! :)

All in, we were satisfied with the hotel. Definitely a recommended place to stay in Seremban ;) For more info about this hotel, click HERE ok :)

After the checking out process, we went straight to Taman Rasah Jaya for the engagement ceremony. Congrats dear Nina! One step ahead. May Allah ease everything till your wedding day. Can't wait!

 Us, the lady cousins.
One taken, one booked, one not available and one is single.
Go figure which is which :P
