The Royal Bintang Resort & Spa, Seremban

We went to Seremban during the Deepavali weekend to attend my cousin's engagement. During that weekend, we stayed at the Royal Bintang Resort & Spa, Seremban.

*photo curtsey of google search*

It is situated opposite the State Mosque, at the Seremban Lake Garden. Such a beautiful greenish scenery, I was totally in love with it. The State Mosque of Negeri Sembilan reminded me much of my late Abah. During his bachelorhood, Abah painted a beautiful oil painting of the State Mosque which was framed by my late grandfather. It was hung at the main hall of his bungalow. Being a humble person he always was, Abah had never brag about it nor he ever spoken about the painting to us; his children. I really thought the painting was a photo instead because it look so real, subhanallah! I am a bit discontented tho, because the painting was lost when the  bungalow was sold after my grandfather passed away...I wanted to keep it. :( I guess it was not my Rezk..*sobs!*

Anyway, back to the story...

We were greeted by a nice Rangoli Kolam deco at the Main Lobby, indicating that Deepavali was just around the corner when we arrived for check-in. Lovely!

Nice color combination, don't you think so? :)

The kids with their Mak Ngah while waiting for the room keys.

We went up to the 9th floor as soon as we got our keys. Our room was spacious and nice and so was the bathroom. The kids loves it! Tak percaya, tengok ni...

Sampai-sampai je terjah katil.
Haip anak dara! Posing komain >.<

Dapat baring skejap..layan habis! Hahaha

Dah dapat energy pegi kacau Tok Mak.. :P

Let me showed you the views inside our room through these sets of photos..

The bedroom

The bathroom

Ironing set and Sajadah for prayer are also included in each room.
Tak perlu susah-susah nak mintak. I loike!

After freshen up and performed our prayers, we went to my aunt's house in Rasah Jaya to help her for the preparations. The tent was up, and the engagement dais was about to be built and the hantarans were all setup. We stayed there until dinner before we went back to the hotel.

Twinnies and Faaz posed in front of the dais as soon as it was completed and they all ate the lollies which was supposed to be part of the hantaran :P

As soon as we reached the hotel, the kids were bathed. The best thing about staying in a hotel with a tub is that you can bathe together all your children at one time, time saving! (provided that your children are ALL still small). Soon, I'll miss this session. Aaaaaa, kids. They grew up so fast!! :(

All three with different reactions.
:))

As usual, Falisya was the last to sleep.
This is her must activity in a hotel.
Paper and the pencil dia je yang conquer :P

The very next morning, we woke up quite early because we promised the kids to go swimming at the pool before we check up and attended the engagement ceremony. Before that, as usual we filled our stomach first with the buffet breakfast.

The complimentary buffet breakfast was served by Asiatique restaurant and it's among the best buffet breakfast served by hotels we stayed before (in Malaysia). There were variety of food served from English breakfast to our local delicacies such as Nasi Lemak, Roti Canai and Mee Sup. Nyums!

Some of the food we managed to snap.
The rest? Selamat masuk pewut. Hehehe

The view outside the hotel is more beautiful. There are the adult swimming pool with slides and waterfalls and a decent kid's pool. Surprisingly there weren't any people swimming that morning so happily all of us conquering the pools. Hihi. We spent 2 hours at the pool. Biar anak-anak puas :D It was considered as a short vacay too, since hubby just got the news at that time that he need to go for his annual business trip (and this time it's gonna be a long assignment *sob*)

The sun was shining bright that morning. Such a good weather for swimming activity!

The view from the kids pool

The three of them swimming..

While the daddy swim and the mommy guarding.
Beginilah nasib orang tak reti swim wpun siap ber-swimsuit.
 Kih kih :P

Happy Falisya watching Faaz and Faiqa splashing water to each other :)

Later Faaz was brought to the adult's pool for the swimming lesson with my hubby. But before that, he took this "penakut" boy to enjoy the slide and the waterfall. Bab waterfall paling lawak. The minute the water were poured onto his head Faaz screamed like mad. LOL!

Ok mommy jealous! Too bad nobody can babysit twinnies for me :(

BELUM kena dah meraung...that's Faaz Naqi :))

After the swimming lesson. Happy!

Hello love! Hiks! :)

All in, we were satisfied with the hotel. Definitely a recommended place to stay in Seremban ;) For more info about this hotel, click HERE ok :)

After the checking out process, we went straight to Taman Rasah Jaya for the engagement ceremony. Congrats dear Nina! One step ahead. May Allah ease everything till your wedding day. Can't wait!

 Us, the lady cousins.
One taken, one booked, one not available and one is single.
Go figure which is which :P

Give Me 5!

Besides Barney & Friends, my twin daughters loves Australian musical show Hi-5 so much. Each time the show is showing on Disney Jr. channel, both Faiqa and Falisya will stand up and started to dance and sing. It's so cute to see how they shake their bodies while the eyes glued to the TV screen; committed in following the steps. Among their favorite song is "L.O.V.E". Even I had memorized the dancing steps of that song because I usually joined my girls to dance and sing a long...it was fun (and can burn some calories too I hope!) :)

Either on the TV or we played a Hi-5 CD on the laptop, this is the common scenario at home. Khusyuk! :)

Although Faaz isn't a toddler anymore and doesn't fancy Hi-5 the way he used to be, he will always enjoyed watching the educational section of the show, such as the part when they tell a story or the part where Jup Jup (the purple octopus) made an appearance.

I am pretty sure these are the common scenarios for most mommies out there too, am I right, mommies? :) I know Hi-5 have a large crowd of young fans in Malaysia and they certainly have a big influence to the children. It's no surprise that recently Dumex Mamil All 'n One has chosen Hi-5 to collaborate with them in a new educational campaign called, "Gime Me 5".

This campaign aims at educating young ones on the importance of the 5 major food groups - that it is now fun and exciting to consume the right amount of carbohydrates, protein, dairy, fruits & vegetables and healthy fats & oils! In striving to make healthy eating engaging for children, Hi-5 will have a catchy song and dance, educational video as well as interactive digital apps showcasing Hi-5 communicating positive message on healthy eating.

I was pleased and excited for my kids when Dumex Mamil sent an invitation for a blogger session for the Dumex Mamil All n' One "Give me 5" Campaign with Hi-5 members, all the way from 'the land down under' (Australia) itself. However, the invite is for a blogger and A CHILD only which means I can only bring one of the twins. How sad :'(

After a short discussion with my husband, we both agreed to choose Falisya because between the two girls, she is more passionate in dancing, more focus and braver towards stranger. I afraid that if I brought Faiqa instead, she will be very clingy and can't enjoyed much. Plus, as a blogger I have tasks to perform too. Although I have made my decision, it was difficult to leave Faiqa at home with her big brother Faaz. With heavy heart me and Falisya left the house while she was sleeping. Sorry baby, next time it's your turn k...huhu.

Falisya was blur at first when I told her along the journey to the Curve that she will be meeting Lauren and the other Hi-5 members on that day. Can't blame her tho, she is just a 2 year old baby! Heee..

Falisya standing and wondering after we did our registration and getting our goodie bag.

As soon as we entered the venue (The Apartment, The Curve), she saw the featured wall which has the wallpaper of Dumex Mamil & Hi-5 logo. Instantly she got all excited and nodded with a smile when I asked her, "Falisya wants to see Hi-5?" :)

Somebody already started to get excited :D

First thing first, Falisya was served with a cup of Dumex Mamil® All ‘n One ( cold) milk by the organizer. She was reluctant at first, although I told her it was milk inside the cup but after tasted it she can't stop drinking! I guess it's because she never drinks milk from a cup before plus the delicious milk made her changed her mind. I guess its about time for me to start introducing it to the twins and perhaps switching their formula milk to Dumex Mamil? Hmm... ;)

Talking about milk, do you know that Dumex Mamil® All ‘n One milk contains 30 Nutritional Ingredients + 20 Essential Nutrients based on all 5 Key Food Groups? It has a unique formulation to help your child get the daily recommended intake of nutrients from Carbohydrates, Protein, Fruits & Vegetables and fats (DHA, ALA, AA). Certainly a good source to help your child getting the goodness from all 5 essential food groups!

There was a photobooth with props at the entrance and we managed to snap some photos although Falisya was not quite get it...mommy je yg posing sensorang. Hiks! :P At sharp 5pm, the event started with the welcoming speech and safety briefing by the bubbly Azura; former Disney Channel Asia host cum Dj Zurr from the Red fm radio. Managed to have a quick chat with her prior to the event and she admired how brave Falisya was (Falisya was the youngest child present that evening). It was then I realized both of them have the same type of hair and wearing almost the same tone color that day. What a co-incidence :D

Us, the mommy bloggers and our child. I was pleased to meet my blogger friend, "Mamarazi" and his famous son, Joshua a.k.a the "small kucing" at the event that we decided to seat together that day :)

Aren't they look alike?, *tetiba :P LOL!

The moment we've been waiting for then came *drumroll*....the appearance of all members of Hi-5 on stage. Falisya was stunned at first when she saw the Hi-5 members passed her by and then standing in front of her. It's not a dream baby, it was real! :P

Hi-5 members for 2013 was then introduced. There are 3 new members; Ainsley, Dayen and Mary. The remaining two are the famous Stevie and Lauren. Lauren is Falisya's favourite Hi-5 member and she has the most fan that evening :)

They performed an opening song before Azura made an announcement that us, the mommy bloggers will have a media session as well as the Q&A session with Danone Dumex and Hi-5 group while the children will be brought to another place for Hi-5 dance workshop. There, they will learn the dancing steps of Hi-5 song and they will then performed the dance on the stage later on. Three best dancers that evening were then will be chosen by the Hi-5 group themselves to win the tickets to the year end concert!

At first I thought of excluding Falisya from the dance workshop since she was the smallest child and I was afraid she will have the stranger anxiety issue. I was wrong. The minute all the children lined up to go for the workshop, she stood up from her chair and started to walk towards the line. I asked her if she really wants to go and she nodded firmly. I was surprised and so were the organizer. Happily they escorted her towards the workshop. There was no sign of scare in her face. She looked confident and firm, like a big girl! And when I got the official photos from Danone Dumex which were snapped during the workshop, I felt like crying. I was totally impressed with my baby girl!

After the kids left, we've been introduced to Mr Christiaan Uittenbosch, the Marketing Manager of Danone Dumex Malaysia. During his speech, Mr. Christiaan share with us how commiteed Danone Dumex is in improving the awareness on balanced nutrition for all children in Malaysia. It is hoped that the partnership with Hi-5 will be able to reach out to as many children and their parents as possible for this purpose.

See...we were "childless" for half an hour!

Besides the educational videos and apps, Mamil All 'n One will be bringing Hi-5 to Malaysia again on December 27th for "Hi-5 House Party" concert at KLPAC! Good news to parents out there, you can win your child tickets to watch the concert by answering a simple question through SMS contest. There are 180 tickets to be grabbed weekly and the final date of the contest is today (24th November 2013). So hurry mommies, there still time left to get lucky! ;) To find out more about this contest, click on the ‘Give me 5’ app at the Dumex Mamil Facebook page [www.facebook.com/DumexMamil/GiveMe5] or call Danone Dumex Careline at 1800 38 1038.

And while the kids have the chance to watch Hi-5 perform, the biggest and more exciting prize is the opportunity to perform live with this popular group on stage - through a nationwide talent search, 5 lucky Malaysian children will have the opportunity to perform the new hit song ‘5 Food Groups’ with Hi-5! Isn't it cool? ;)

After the speech, us the mommy bloggers then attended a Q&A session with the Hi-5 group.  I took the opportunity to ask the group on how they managed to keep their stamina and appear energetic throughout their show. The first answer was given by Mary and she told me that they ensure that they have the 5 key nutrients in their daily diet!

Stevie then added, besides food intake they are also keep themselves fit by exercising and doing workout before he share with us that Lauren actually loves working out. He then suggested Lauren to do push-up infront of us, live. Of course Lauren was more than happy to show us! :)

It was then all the children were brought in back to the stage where they were lined up and got ready for the dance performance. I was relieved to see Falisya, seriously I can't concentrate 100% during her absence, wondering how she was doing and whether she cried looking for me...
I know...typical mommy syndrome :P

The dance teacher arranging the kids. Falisya was looking for me...

The kids were waiting for the music to start...

and off they started to dance as soon as they heard the music..so cute!!

While the mommies were busy capturing the moments and Hi-5 were standing on the chair, judging the best 3 dancers for concert tickets winner.

Falisya and the girl were the two who didn't dance at all. Instead, she was busy watching the Hi-5 members cheering and smiling to them across the stage. It was funny that the host and some of the committee members were trying hard to make her dance but failed. No worries baby, still to see you stood there on stage calmly made mommy wanna cry (again, typical mommy syndrome)..cause I'm so proud of you!

The winners were then announced and I was happy for Joshua when he was announced as one of the winner. He did dance well!. As a consolation, all the kids who performed were given a copy of Hi-5 concert CD. It made my baby girl happy that she kept on looking and holding the CD :) We then had the photography session with the Hi-5 members. Although most of the kids that evening were pretty excited to shake hand and took a photo with the group, I was happy to see that all of them were polite and waited for their turn.

Us, waited patiently for our turn! :)

Our first shot: Falisya was still busy looking at the CD she got :P

Lucky us they took a second shot: Although she did not smile r looked at the cammie, she wasn't looking at the CD anymore. Hehe :P

As a closing, all of us were served with some refreshments from The Apartment, consisting finger food of 5 essential food groups. All of them were equally good! Nyums!

and Falisya got her doses of fresh Dumex Mamil® All ‘n One milk!. Nyums!

It was a great mom-child blogger event, and we both had a great time, don't we Falisya Nayla? Thank you Dumex Mamil for making my baby's dream comes true!

Oh ya, Faiqa greeted us cheerfully as we arrived home. Well behaved, baby. Since she didn't got the chance to go to this event I gave the goodies we got from the event to her. She was delighted when I showed her the Hi-5 school bag and the CD she got. I promise baby, next event will be your turn k, insyaAllah love!

Love,
