Alhamdulillah, last 21st March 2015 my sister (Kak Ngah) has tied the knot with her high-school boyfriend of 11 years, Ahmad Azwan (finally...! :P). The solemnization (akad nikah) was held at Masjid Al-Khairiyah, Taman Sri Gombak which is the Mosque where I got married to my hubby 7 years ago :)
While on the way to the Mosque...glowing! :)
We arrived slightly late then scheduled so upon reaching the mosque, we headed straight to the Dewan Nikah where family and relatives from both sides were already presence.. :D The ceremony started shortly after and it was lead by Imam Ramli of Masjid Al-Khairiyah.
The hantaran from both sides...
Kak Ngah smiling nervously...LOL!
While me, on the other side was struggling to get the girls (twinnies and their cousin Areej) to sit still and be quiet..hehe :D
Alhamdulillah, at approximately 3.30pm my sister was officially a wifey! She was solemnized by our little brother; Hazwan. Am so proud of him that he managed to take up this big responsibility on his own... :)
The lafaz nikah...steady la Wan! :)
The first salam followed by exchanging rings, and the mas kahwin (bracelet + cash)
It was a simple, but meaningful ceremony. Our relatives from Singapore also presence during the ceremonly. After the solemnisation, all guest were served with refreshments (Curry Mee, Bihun Sup, Malay Kuehs, Cakes and hot drinks) at the Dewan Makan Masjid (Eating hall).
Here are some photos taken with my iPhone while entertaining the guest...

Me, matchy-matchy with my twinnies...

While hubby matchy-matchy with our son, Faaz. Both were Men in black! :)
Our incomplete family photo...with Faaz almost ran away. LOL! :P
That night, we had a gotong-royong at my Mom's place to prepare for my sister's reception on the following day. Making the bunga rampai and preparing the door gift were part of the tasks. The most excited and hardworking person that night was none other than Faaz. He wanted to be part of almost everything that we done that night...
Faaz isi telur pindang...
and Faaz helped Daddy & Mommy brought the boxes into the hall that night itself...
Rajin boy!! :)
The workers were just finishing the setup of the Pelamin and the hall when we arrived to unload the boxes of door gifts that night so we stayed longer to supervised the works. It was a tiring and exhausting day, but all were excited to welcome the next day...we can't wait to meet and mingle with the relatives and friends! :)
Will share the full outcome and the "bersanding" ceremony during the Reception Day in Part II, soon...stay tune! :)
